Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande is one of 28 workforce development boards in Texas.  It is our job to enhance the quality of life in our region by focusing on initiatives that develop opportunities in education, employment and economic development.   We oversee programs.  We create partnerships.  We invest in people.

What is considered the Upper Rio Grande region?
The Texas counties of our region include Brewster, Culberson, El Paso, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Presidio.

Are you part of Upper Rio Grande @ Work?
Actually, that's exactly who we were!  For about 9 years our organization was called Upper Rio Grande @ Work.  Now we operate under a statewide brand name for easier recognition.

Is Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande a state agency?
No, we are a locally owned and operated non-profit organization with the responsibility ensuring the economic prosperity of our region.  Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande follows operational guidelines set by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
