Mobile Unit to be Featured at State Conference

Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande’s Mobile Career Center will be showcased at the 13th Annual Texas Workforce Commission Conference in Grapevine, TX on December 2 - 4, 2009 . The mobile unit is one of four in the state, and has assisted in many vital efforts including assisting hurricane victims with obtaining Unemployment Insurance information. The unit’s strength lies in it’s ability to bring services directly to those in need. It travels to the URG rural areas as well as providing the Rapid Re-employment Unit with an on-site resource for workers affected by mass-layoffs or closures. The annual state conference draws all 28 workforce boards, workforce experts, and key stakeholders.
