Employers in the Upper Rio Grande region are encouraged to sign up for the Texas Back to Work Program. The two-year, $15 million state-wide program is promoted by Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and was funded by the Legislature last session. In the Upper Rio Grande region, the program means qualifying employers can receive a $2,000 incentive for employing a first-time unemployment insurance recipient that earned less than $15.00 an hour. Ray Baca from Monterrey Asset Management in El Paso is one employer who is reaping the benefits, “This program helps subsidize training expenses which allows more time to reach full productivity,” said Baca. Employers interested in participating should call 915-887-2666 or email us at  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
